Then you are most welcome to join us as a member! As a member of Queer World, you support us and our work. Membership costs NOK 100 per year.
The member who joins will pay one amount for the single year they join. It is a single payment and no fixed payment will be registered.
At the start of a new calendar year, the member will be contacted with a request to renew their membership.
Members contact the organisation to unsubscribe, or are automatically deleted as a member if Skeiv Verden does not receive membership fees for two years. See contact information below.
We collect information from our members:
This information is the basis for reporting on the number of members in order to receive public funding for the operation of the organisation. In addition, we need members' contact information in order to provide an adequate offer and information related to membership. When you join the organisation, you consent to each individual area for which you allow the organisation to use personal data, such as member magazines, newsletters, invitations to events, etc. Your personal data will be deleted 5 years after your membership ends. Membership is open to everyone, regardless of citizenship and place of residence. To become a member you must:
a. support the organisation's purpose, and
b. be at least 15 years of age
The annual meeting determines the membership fee. The membership fee period is 1 January - 31 December. Withdrawal from the organisation must be made in writing, see contact information below.
Membership is cancelled if the membership fee is not paid for two calendar years.
Personal data collected in connection with membership is secured in a separate membership system that complies with GDPR.
The Annual General Meeting is the supreme body of Queer World and must be held by the end of May each year.
The annual meeting shall notify members who have provided correct contact information to the board no later than four weeks before the meeting.
The final notice of the meeting with the proposed agenda, proposals received and the report for the period must be available no later than one week before the annual meeting.
At the annual general meeting, the board shall present the annual report and financial statements for the previous period, and recommend a work plan and membership fees for the coming period.
Anyone who has paid their membership fee up to six weeks before the annual meeting is entitled to vote.
Employees of Skeiv Verden are not entitled to vote.
Anyone with voting rights may authorise another member with voting rights to vote on their behalf on specified agenda items. A member may have a maximum of three proxies. In order to achieve national reach, the board shall facilitate digital participation.
The annual general meeting shall elect a board of directors consisting of a chairperson, two deputy chairpersons and a financial manager, where these four positions are elected for a period of two years. The chair and second deputy chair are elected in even-numbered years, while the first deputy chair and finance manager are elected in odd-numbered years. The annual general meeting elects a board of directors consisting of eight permanent members and three deputy members.
The annual general meeting shall elect a control committee consisting of three members. The annual general meeting also elects a nomination committee consisting of three members. Members of the control committee and nomination committee are elected for two years.
