What do we really know about domestic violence and sexual abuse in the queer community? And what does it take for us to dare to talk about it together?
And those of us who have experienced this form of violence and abuse; do we know where to turn for help? Do we talk about it at parties? How are we met by the support system when violence and abuse occur between two people of the same sex?
What little research there is shows that queer people are at least as vulnerable to violence and sexual abuse as the majority population, yet there is a lack of help, support and awareness of the challenges.
Meet those of us who have experienced, those who will help, those who will ensure that there is an offer, and those who have researched it at Pride House during Oslo Pride. Names of panellists will be updated on an ongoing basis.
Amnesty International Norway, in collaboration with Arctic Pride, the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, FRI and Skeiv Verden, invites you to a conversation to highlight partner violence and sexual abuse in queer relationships - and how it can be combated.
