Can I be a devout Muslim and a queer at the same time?
Join us for an open and respectful conversation about queerness and Islam. This event provides a unique opportunity to explore questions, experiences and perspectives related to queer identity within the framework of Islamic faith and culture.
This workshop will create a safe space where queer Muslims and their supporters can come together to share experiences, ask questions and learn from each other. Through open dialogue, honest conversations and respectful listening, we want to promote understanding, acceptance and support for the diversity that exists within both the queer and Islamic communities.
Everyone, regardless of faith, background or identity, is welcome to join this important conversation. Together, let's help build bridges and create a more inclusive society for all.
Workshop speaker: Wesam Almadani (hen/he), writer and activist.
