Vikram Kolmannskog

About

Vikram Kolmannskog (born 1980) is a professor at the Norwegian Gestalt Institute, a psychotherapist in private practice and an author. He is queer and has a multicultural background with a Norwegian father and mother with Indian roots - something that is reflected in both his interests and work. He has engaged in diversity related to gender, sexuality and relationships in the field of therapy, both in education and practice - and is co-editor of Queering Gestalt Therapy. He has also been interested in the intersection between psychotherapy and wisdom traditions such as mindfulness.

Vikram has published several non-fiction books, fiction and poetry collections, including The Empty Chair: Tales from Gestalt Therapy. He lives just outside Oslo, near the forest, with his husband, their child and the rest of his more-than-human family.
