Hello I am Lana (she/her)!

I am a health economist with an interest in public health, mostly women’s health, reproductive medicine, and maternal and neonatal care. I also hold a degree in sociology and political science where I studied indigenous peoples’ rights. Currently I volunteer as an English and Excel teacher in Robin Hood Huset.

I like fantasy, cats, and chocolate. Book, movie, and anime recommendations are always welcome! I like to go for short runs and box against the boxing bag. I have a wife and a toddler who eats up all my free time.

I believe in empowering the community through learning, I am interested in addressing social issues that queer people face and the interplay of different intersections such as immigrant background, disability, low income, or other minority status in the perspective of legislation and rights.

Early years

I began with queer activism when I was in my early 20s, first in a lesbian organization and later in Zagreb Pride, the biggest queer organization in Croatia. In terms of activism, I believe in empowering the community through learning, I am interested in addressing social issues that queer people face and the interplay of different intersections such as immigrant background, disability, low income, or other minority status in the perspective of legislation and rights.
