Skeiv Verden would like to invite you to our lecture and panel discussion on the topic: Queer and Muslim - Can I be a believing Muslim and queer at the same time?
Join us for an open and respectful conversation about queerness and Islam. This event provides a unique opportunity to explore questions, experiences and perspectives related to queer identity within the context of Muslim beliefs, practices and culture.
This workshop will create a safe space where queer Muslims and their supporters can come together to share experiences, ask questions and learn from each other. Through open dialogue, honest conversations and respectful listening, we want to promote understanding, acceptance and support for the diversity that exists within both the queer and Muslim communities.

The talk will be introduced by Wesam Almadani (hen/he), an author and activist.
Afterwards, Mona Frank, employee of Queer World, will facilitate a conversation with these panellists and the audience:
Omar Akhtar (han/ham), associate professor and theologian
Rania Al-Nahi (she/her) theologian and Muslim dialogue partner
Suzann Boutera (she/her) educational advisor in Queer World
Wesam Almadani (hen/he) Board member, author and activist
Qazaz Mirza, former Queer World member.

Everyone, regardless of faith, background or identity, is welcome to join this important conversation. Together, let's help build bridges and create a more inclusive society for all.
We meet on Saturday 22 June, 15:00-17:00 in Skeiv Verdens' premises (Torggata 1) in the activity room on the 4th floor.
