Finally, we can share Skeiv Verden's contribution to this year's Pride programme! This year's theme for Oslo Pride is "History", and it is also 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Norway. This will be marked by institutions, organisations and activists throughout the country, including through the Queer Culture Year. Skeiv Verden wants to contribute with a critical and intersectional look at Pride, colonial history and anti-gay laws. This year, we are also proud participants of Reclaim Pride Oslo, an independent festival that focuses on anti-capitalism, anti-racism and queer feminism. They are critical of the current commercialisation of Pride and want to challenge power structures within the LGBTQIA community in Norway. There will be talks, a party, an open-mic, parade decorations and breakfast!
