About the ABC Seminar
Due to the complexities of living in a globalized world, which can be particularly challenging and isolating for our community, Skeiv Verden has decided to organize a comprehensive four-day seminar focused on identity and health. Through this seminar, we aim to equip participants with informative workshops, tools, and knowledge to navigate their lives more effectively. The program will feature short presentations from relevant organizations in the field, group exercises, and individual work.
Our primary goal is to create a safe space where participants feel comfortable discussing openly about sexual health, substance use, and the challenges they face in these areas. Additionally, the seminar provides an opportunity for community building among our members from all over Norway, allowing them to connect with other Queer individuals with minority backgrounds.
Throughout the seminar, we will delve into various topics, including how to foster healthy relationships, create intimacy, and ensure safer practices in love and sex. We will also explore the dynamics of open relationships versus monogamy and discuss strategies for navigating dating apps like Grindr. Furthermore, we'll address the importance of establishing a weekly self-care routine and examine why individuals in our community may be more vulnerable to substance use. Additionally, we'll provide guidance on how to support a partner who is struggling with addiction.
Participants will receive a detailed program and guidelines prior to the seminar.

Who can participate?
LGBTIQ+ newly arrival to Norway (Living in Norway the last 3 years),
Member of Skeiv Verden (Membership costs 100 kr. per year),
First time attending this seminar.
When: Tuesday to Saturday, 25th-30th of June 2024
Place: Skeiv Verden - Torggata 1, 0181 Oslo
Price: Free. (Lunch and dinner incl.)
If you are coming from outside of Oslo, your travel costs and accommodation in Oslo will be covered by Skeiv Verden.
NB: If you are from Bergen, ABC seminar will be coming to you in the fall so we will see you then.
